Working with Once Were Farmers, we created a series of three films as a BBC Learning study guide for the well-known play by John McGrath.

We created the animations in the style of a Victorian cut-out theatre and used the screen in the same way that McGrath used the stage— having the same ‘actors’ exit and reappear as different characters wearing different costumes.

A lively, chatty cast, burning buildings, stormy seas, moody lighting—these up-tempo study guides had it all. Even our crew learned a thing or two.
