A full site re-design and transition from their exising web agency to an in-house team. The result is a visually stunning website that delivers.

Lettingweb are one of the UK’s leading letting portals and their brief was a simple one – to bring the Lettingweb site up to date both visually focusing on UX, UI and technologically for all users – tenants, letting agents and Lettingweb staff.

The existing Lettingweb site used very old technology and the first stage of the project was to unravel the existing site and work out what functionality we should keep and what we could lose.

Working as a team

Working with Lettingweb’s inhouse .NET developers and design team, we quickly identified key areas that were limiting the existing site. From poorly designed mapping functionality resulting in very slow search results, to poor image quality and over-complicated navigation, it was obvious the site needed to be re-designed and built to a tight five month deadline.

What we did

The new website is a breath of fresh air with a clean, crisp layout that’s intuitive and designed with the user in mind delivering search results after one click and in the blink of an eye. The newly designed database was built to provide a solid foundation that can now be built upon by the internal Lettingweb team.

We developed a brand new content management system running on .NET with social functionality bolted right on. The letting agents received their very own secure area with a quick look dashboard, comparables section, profile and more. The Lettingweb back-office got a comprehensive tool set so they can manage hundreds of agent requests in a few clicks, spending less time doing paper work and more time tending to client needs.

The new site helped Lettingweb sign a lucrative new partnership with Zoopla which had a huge impact on monthly site traffic. The new agent admin area has been well received by an industry that doesn’t have time for change. By creating an intuitive site that works for all users and with a new look iPhone app that delivers on the move, Lettingweb is bucking the market trend and seeing impressive growth in the last quarter of 2012.

And the most rewarding part of the entire project for Ping was to work with such a talented internal team that proves, for some companies, taking your website in-house can bring huge benefits both financially and technically. Contact Ping to find out how we can help your web business grow.
